The compact lamps do not require a ballast, and can be used in a standard E27 screw fixture. They are ideal for lighting smaller enclosures, or for boosting the lighting in basking zones in larger terrariums.
The lamps produce a full spectrum of light, helping to boost the natural colours of your reptile and will produce optimum levels of UVA and UVB for a year.
The Arcadia Compact D3+ Reptile Lamp 23W produces 10.0% UVB and is suitable for desert reptile species or those who require a high amount of UVB such as Bearded Dragons and Tortoises. UVB is essential for ensuring your reptile can synthesise vitamin D3 needed for metabolism of calcium and to prevent the onset of metabolic bone disease.
